One of the most vibrant and thrilling times to visit Caliente Resort & Spa is the last week of October each year for the spectacle that’s known as “Halloween Week!”
Halloween is one of the most popular holiday’s here at Caliente Resort, because it rivals anything you could possibly encounter at Fantasy Fest in Key West. One reason is due to contrary to belief, showing too many of your bits or going full monty could attract some unwanted police attention at Fantasy Fest. But, not here at Caliente since its private property, 21 & older and clothing optional you can get as bare as you dare with your costume!
Another reason this time of year is so popular at the resort is due to the amazing entertainment that is set up for the week of Halloween. And don’t even get us started on the set designs, unique annual changing themes, & great music! Even the spa gets into the Halloween spirit with decorations and “spook”tacular makeup offerings.
These amazing themes and all the work that goes into them attract Vacation Club Members and Annual Members from all over the country! And since they are members they get to book their rooms in advance and they know they have to book at least 3 months out to guarantee their reservations here for that holiday. Just one more way it pays to be a member here at Caliente, because similar to other holiday events our resort is always occupied by at least 95%-100% of our members (depending upon the event).
Here are some fascinating facts about Caliente’s annual Halloween event:
It takes three full days (approximately 80 hours) to transform the resort walls into a haunted castle look, utilizing three maintenance workers and 42 x 100 rolls of wallpaper.
We prep and cook food for 1000 guests! Which includes: 1000 chocolate dipped bananas, 1000 chocolate dipped strawberry’s, 650 lbs of carved beef , 300 lbs of shrimp, plus over 2500 individual desserts.
